Stars

Steel, hand blown glass

This is what I think about when I think of stars.  Imagine yourself sitting in space, a new star is born, the first of the light reaches you.  All you can think of is this immense train thundering past that is made of protons.   There is a whoosh, it’s loud but you cannot hear it, you can only feel it. There is a vast wall in front of you that is made of light and time. It heads off to unimaginable distances at incomprehensible speeds.  You stay until the end, the star dies, and the last of the light grows dimmer and dimmer in the distance as it continues its never-ending journey to the end of time.
